Peter Connolly is a guitarist & vocalist born in Dublin, Ireland. From an early age
he showed an interest in music and, at 9 years of age, took up the guitar. His
natural understanding of music allowed him to develop as a mainly self-taught
musician with vast influences such as rock, heavy metal, flamenco and classical
music. Peter began his undergraduate studies in Waterford, Ireland at the age
of 19. Having studied classical guitar for a year in college, his path took a turn
towards jazz & modern music, under the mentorship of Dylan Bible, where he
graduated with a first class honors degree in performance and composition
four years later.

The same year he moved to Valencia, Spain, to study a masters degree in
Berklee College of Music, where he studied and performed with some great
musicians/improvisers such as Israel Sandoval, Polo Ortí, Alaín Perez & Perico
Sambeat. During his time in Valencia, he has played in numerous formations as
a band leader and sideman. He now fronts his own award-winning quartet –
Valmuz, who have released three albums, among them “Sinergia” – recorded
with the acclaimed Sedajazz Big Band.

In the last year, ´22 – ´23, he has been living, performing and recording in
London with Valmuz and other artists.

graduated with a first class degree. Bachelor of Arts with honours in
interpretation and composition four years later.

That same year he moved to Valencia, Spain to pursue a master’s degree at Berklee College of Music, where he studied and performed with such great musicians as Israel Sandoval, Polo Ortí, Alaín Perez and Perico Sambeat. During his time in Valencia he has played in numerous formations as a band leader and accompanist. He now leads his own award-winning quartet, Valmuz, which has released three albums, including “Sinergia,” recorded with the acclaimed Sedajazz Big Band.

For the past year, '22-'23, he has been living, performing and recording in London with Valmuz and other artists.
