Soloist and concert performer
Born in Catarroja (Valencia). She studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia, where she received the Honorary Award for the End of Higher Degree and the Mercedes Massí Scholarship awarded to the highest academic achievement of her class. Later, with a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, she moved to Paris to study at the Hector Berlioz Conservatory.
His teachers in Spain have been Juan Zacarés and Jesús Campos and in France Raymond Guiot and Michel Debost. He has also attended courses with G. Gilbert, A. Marion, M. Larrieu…
She has been awarded first prizes in the following national competitions: Juventudes Musicales 1982, Unión Musical Española 1980 and Hazen (Yamaha) 1982. She was awarded the Fernando Zobel scholarship (Cuenca 1983).
In 1981 he obtained a position as flute-piccolo in the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, a position he did not occupy when he joined the National Orchestra of Spain shortly after.
Prestigious composers have dedicated their works to him and commissioned his premieres. He has recorded music by Valencian composers such as A. Blanquer, L. Blanes and F. Llácer Plá, etc. He won the 1985 National Record Award for the sonatas of J.Bta Plá. He has recorded La Fantasia para un Gentilhombre and the Aria for Flute and Orchestra by J.Rodrigo for EMI.
As a soloist he has performed with the following orchestras and bands: Reina Sofía Orchestra, Valencia Municipal Orchestra, City of Córdoba Orchestra, Flanders Symphony Orchestra, Villa de Madrid Orchestra, Community of Madrid Orchestra, Spanish Chamber Orchestra, Cantabrian Chamber Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain, Madrid Symphony Band, Barcelona Municipal Band, Bilbao Municipal Band, under the direction of maestro such as J. López Cobos, J. Collado, A. Witt, M. Galduf, Max Bragado, Pablo González, Rafael Sanz Espert, Beatriz Fernández, etc.
She has been the principal flute of the Spanish National Orchestra since 1982 and currently combines the orchestra with teaching and chamber music. She was a professor at the European Centre for Musical Studies “Neomúsica” in Madrid, at the Conservatory of Music in Palma de Mallorca and at the K. Gurska Higher Centre. She is currently a professor of Degree and Master's degrees at the Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid and at ESMAR Valencia. She is required to prepare meetings for young orchestras (JONDE, JORCAM, OJA, JORVAL….) She gives courses in Italy and throughout Spain.
