Drummer, percussionist, vibraphonist, marimbist, arranger and composer, Eva Català Sánchez is considered one of the most promising emerging voices on the Spanish jazz and world music scene. She has participated in multiple international festivals such as: 57 Jazzaldia, Eurovenezuelan Jazz Festival, XXIV Valencia Jazz Festival, La Rochelle Jazz Festival 2022 (France), JazzInitiative Dinslaken 2022 (Germany) and the World Minimal Music Festival 2019 in Amsterdam (Netherlands), among others, and has toured and/or recorded with renowned artists such as: Perico Sambeat, Juan Munguía, Carlos Sarduy, David Pastor, Yoel Páez, Sole Giménez…
Graduated with Extraordinary Prize in advanced studies in classical and contemporary percussion at the Conservatory of Music of Valencia (Spain) in 2020. Graduated from Berklee College of Music 2022 Master in modern music and production. Eva has also studied at the prestigious Codarts University of Performing Arts in Rotterdam (Netherlands) thanks to the Erasmus + scholarship program, received the prestigious AIE scholarship, took first place in the International Competition of the MP Music Foundation in 2020 and has been a finalist in the Focus Year 2023 program tests in Basel (Switzerland).
