This is not a manifesto. This is our way of understanding life. This is not an institutional declaration. It is saying what we feel. Because we feel like it. Because music makes us freer. More respectful. More tolerant. It makes us better people. It makes us grow. Because art makes us believe that a better world is possible.
Because this is our way of fighting for what we believe in. With our only weapons, which are Art, Music and the Word. Because artists are dreamers. Crazy people. Real crazy dreamers who still believe in love.
Because of Chopin. Maybe because of Beethoven. Or because of Schubert. Because of Handel. Because musicians are rebels by nature. Because our blood boils in our veins. And we make it burn with our unconditional dedication. Because we were always misunderstood. Because we opened doors. Because we knocked down walls. Because we broke the barriers of time.
By Tchaikovsky. By Poulenc. Perhaps Bellini. Because we do not understand why people are forbidden to love whoever they want. Because as long as love is condemned in any remote place on the planet, we will continue to turn our music into a voice that cries out for freedom.
For Caravaggio. For Leonardo da Vinci. For Michelangelo Buonarroti. For so many artists throughout history who had to live in hiding so as not to be rejected. And for a few who were brave and had to endure the rejection of others. Because we will not keep quiet any longer.
By Federico García Lorca. By Oscar Wilde. By Frida. By Dalí. Because we put our soul into what we do. Because we don't understand half measures. Because we go all out. Because we feel to the limit. Because we do whatever it takes with passion. Because we live loving art. Because we love. Because we live. As we want. Because we will never allow anyone to tell us how we have to feel.
This is not a manifesto. This is just our way of understanding life. Because we are musicians. And because we believe that Love is Love. Period.
