La High Performance Music School (ESMAR) Musical Arts has acquired the institution to enhance its high-quality music education and offer its pedagogical approach in Madrid. The Valencia-based educational center has an internationally recognized program and educates 500 young people across a wide range of higher education degrees, master's programs, and music training courses taught by renowned professors and musicians. These programs will be complemented by those offered at the specialized Madrid center.
The heads of the two higher education institutions, Carles Subiela and Alejandro Monzonís, president and vice president of ESMAR, and Luis Clemente, manager of Musical Arts, have reached a satisfactory agreement that prioritizes and ensures the continuity and promotion of the educational quality that ESMAR can offer based on the work carried out by Musical Arts.
Monzonís expressed his satisfaction with this agreement, stating, “We thank Luis Clemente for his character and work in the world of music and his initiatives that benefit music education.” He added, “We intend to work with the students and faculty of Musical Arts and maintain and strengthen collaborations and synergies with other institutions linked to the organization.” Monzonís emphasized that “the goal is to foster excellence, employability, and internationalization for our students; therefore, we invite musicians and teachers to join us and work to further enhance a project and a trajectory forged in the long history and musical tradition of the Valencian Community, a land of musicians and cultural ambassadors who work and perform in prestigious ensembles and concert halls around the world.”
For his part, Clemente notes that “we are very pleased with the agreement reached with ESMAR, because it will ensure the continuity and development of the Musical Arts project.” The manager emphasizes that “ESMAR’s excellent educational and musical program aligns with the demands, objectives, and standards pursued by the students and the renowned musicians who teach there. This has been the fundamental principle guiding and taking into account this agreement.”
ESMAR teaches the teachings Through an innovative model of music education based on a curriculum that prioritizes practical over theoretical instruction, experiences in real professional settings, and connections with the job market in the sector, it offers comprehensive training for practicing music today in its different specializations: Performance (Piano, Symphonic Instruments, Early Music, Voice, Modern Music, and Jazz), Pedagogy (all instrumental tracks), Composition, Production, and Management and Conducting.
With this growth and internationalization strategy, the project broadens its horizons, consolidates itself as a very attractive alternative that is committed to specialized and high-performance music education, and becomes a benchmark with a strong presence and implementation in the music education scene in Spain.
Scholarships and entrance exams
ESMAR has a scholarship and funding program so that students can access studies, whose registration period and the access tests It is open to all specialties. Orchestra and Symphonic Band
La Orchestra and ESMAR Symphonic Band, as well as other chamber music ensembles, are artistic projects in which students work professionally, which is a great experience that recreates and provides the dynamics and learning of this environment with renowned directors, performers and artists.
This is an excellent opportunity for young musicians who stand out for their performing career because they have the chance to perform as soloists or performers, in the Luis Monzonís Auditorium of the educational center, the Palau de la Música de Valencia, the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Auditori de Torrent, with a high level training and be directed by internationally renowned teachers such as Sergio Alapont, Cristóbal Soler, Francisco Valero-Terribas, José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana, Pascual Cabanes or Pablo Marqués.
Mozarteum of Salzburg
ESMAR collaborates with the prestigious Mozarteum University of Salzburg (Austria), one of the most important centers of musical training in the world, which allows exchange projects for students and teachers in an initiative that is part of the program Erasmus +.
The specific objectives of the program are to promote educational mobility for individuals and groups, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, equity, excellence, creativity and innovation at the level of organizations and policies in the field of education and training; and to promote mobility in non-formal and informal learning and active participation among young people; as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation at the level of organizations and policies in the youth sphere.
ESMAR also promotes various initiatives and synergies with national and international institutions that provide opportunities for its students and teachers, both in the artistic field and in an excellent musical education.
